About Landyn

On August 14, 2025, the world lost a remarkable young man whose light continues to shine through the lives he touched.  Landyn, 17, was a rising senior at East Columbus High School in Lake Waccamaw, NC where he was known as Cowboy and L-Boogie.

Landyn was a lifelong baseball player whose dedication, energy, and laughter left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him. His teammates were more than just friends - they were his brothers.  He led with passion, loyalty, and heart, always giving his all to every game.

Landyn spent his life learning the family logging business, a craft that connected generations of family members.  He found joy in the simple things - family dinners, backyard gatherings, hunting, fishing, and riding his four-wheeler.  Those moments with family and friends meant everything to him. Landyn’s contagious smile, unwavering kindness, and genuine spirit continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.

Our Mission

The Landyn Jacobs Memorial Foundation was created to honor Landyn’s life - rooted in the same spirit that guided him on the baseball field, in the woods, and at home with family.

Our mission is to raise funds through charitable donations and community events in order to provide financial support, resources, and services that address local community needs.  These include assistance for charitable causes such as supporting youth organizations that improve the quality of life for individuals and families within the community.

LJMF is a 501(c)3 organization all donations are tax deductible.
